What is news? SharePoint news is an out-of-the-box distribution service that gets important content to personal, team, and organizational audiences across SharePoint apps and experiences. Built on modern pages and web parts, you can tell stories with rich, dynamic content.

4 How to create news posts
Add a post from SharePoint Home Add a post in a Team or Communication site Office | SharePoint Office | SharePoint A In the top bar, just click + New > News post. + Create news post Team Site News from Sites TS A + New News + Add B C see all B Under the News section header click + Add. C In the news section click the link See All > Create News post. Click Create news post. Team sites Office | SharePoint Office | SharePoint + Create news post Communication Site CS News from Sites Choose where to publish A + New News + Add News C + Add B see all Choose the site where you want to publish your news article. Communication sites On mobile, click + Add.

5 Customize your news post
A Begin with adding a name which will serve as your headline. You can use the image toolbar on the left to add or change an image. C PUBLISH When you are done creating your page, click Publish at the top right, and you'll see the story appear in the News section as the most recent story. 6 Use the News web part on a page
You can add the News web part to any page. Just do this: News News News A B C Click the edit pencil on the left side of the News web part. Hover your mouse above or below an existing web part and you'll see a line with a circled +. Click on it. In the web part search box, enter News to quickly find and select the News web part. Layout Top story List Side-by-side Hub News Learn more about the News web part: D Select the layout you want to use.
