This is a place to promote your business locally for people who use the internet to make buying decisions. Online Listings have a negative and positive connotation to them. If you have not created an account, and have had guests, chances are, you’re already on some of the previously mentioned platforms. Its simple, really. Lets say my account is already created, and I need to claim it before others do. How do I do that? P.00

Making the Most of Your Online Listing Once You Have Found Your Listing, Now What? Claim the Business – Yes, we just talked about this, but it is so very important. If you don’t claim it, who else will? Make yourself stand out – What makes you different? Why do people visit your resorts and campgrounds? Meta Data - This is the geeky secret sauce that drives people to your business. Vibrant photos – We as consumers love photos. Identify your audience, and have the photos reflect that. Videos – All of you have beautiful stories to share. Videos can be a great way to communicate the “Why” for your guests. P.06

8 Online Platforms You Should Be On:
Making the Most of Your Online Listing Online Platforms You Should Be On: Facebook Facebook is an outstanding avenue to have a presence for guests visiting your page. Here you can post photos of events that your campus hosts, as well as creating events and inviting people that have “liked” your page. If you don’t have a Facebook Profile, you can easily create one. It is very easy to set up and is free to create an account. If you are interested, part of this demo is giving a free Facebook Demo- Google should be the first place to look at for improving your online presence. Google is the most used platform in the world, and has the most amount of users per day for any website. If you use Googles standards and have your business on Google, Google will help your guests find you online. If you have any questions about this, please ask during the Q&A section of the presentation. It seems silly mentioning this, but after looking at some of the resorts on this website, this needs to be addressed. The MRCA does a phenomenal job of promoting your business, but they can’t help you if you don’t help yourself. Take the hour to two hours to complete your profile. It is worth working on your business and improving it. P.07

Making the Most of Your Online Listing IMAGE Additional Steps To Improve your business online Website Mobile Responsive Google AdWords Having amazing content on listings is great, but what happens when they find your campus through a listing, and can’t find you online with a website to make a reservation? Building a website that drives a positive ROI is important to the overall success of the business. If you already have a website, but it is not mobile responsive, you are losing your spot on Google for your search rankings. As of April of 2015, Google will lower your ranking score if your website is not mobile optimized or responsive. Very easy way of identifying if your website meets the standard. Like what was said before, content is king, and having stellar content is necessary to bring people organically to your website. You are able to take the next step to ensure that your business is listed at the top for the keywords that you want your clients to be searching for. P.08
