Classroom Procedures MR. VALADEZ

SELF-ACCOUNTABILITY YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR GRADE. You will receive what you deserve. You must put in the work.

What is a Procedure? A procedure is a specific way in which we do things. To do things right we all must fallow a few simple steps. Ex. To call someone you first must input a group of specific number in the correct sequence. In order to be successful in learning we must all fallow procedures.

When Class Starts Wait outside the classroom until I greet you at the door. Come into the classroom with all the materials you will need. Enter the room quietly Wait to receive your notebook. Copy down the objective and E.Q’s. from the board. Begin working on the days warm-up. If you don’t have a pencil or pen go and pick one up from the supply area. RETURN THEM AT THE END OF CLASS.

Procedures for when the someone is talking Do not talk, talk quietly or whisper when a lesson is being taught. The same goes for when a fellow student is sharing their thoughts. Do not ask to go to the restroom. One person will be allowed to go at a time during student activity time. Pick-up the restroom pass before you go. Return the pass when you comeback. Do not stand up to use the electric sharpener. Use hand sharpeners instead. Raise your hand to speak. Never talk to someone from across the room, or above a whisper

Before you leave Pick up all your supplies and clean up your area. I will do spot checks to make sure everything is clean. Two students will pick up all notebooks before class ends. REMEMBER I DISMISS YOU, NOT THE BELL.

If you are late Come-in quietly. Do not create a distraction. Sing-in on the tardy binder. Include your NAME and DATE Get your notebook from the class period basket. QUIETLY. If you have a pass give it to me and I will check for authenticity.

If you are absent. Pick-up missing work from the ABSENT basket. Work must be turned in by the beginning of class the fallowing day. Unless otherwise stated. Instead of working on your warm-up, ask your neighbor if you can copy down the notes from the day you missed. If you missed a TEST, you will need to get with me to schedule a make-up day. It will be in the MORNING, and must be completed within a week of the initial test date.

Things you need to know. When the noise level is too high or need to get your attention I will count down from 5. listen, by the time I get to 1 everyone should be quiet and facing me. Use your time wisely. If you finish anything early, ask yourself, “Is this the best I can do?” If something needs to be turned-in, DO SO. Once your done you may read a book. You may pick-up a book from the bookshelf if you do not have one. You may take-It home, BUT you need to let me know.
