Children who have a packed lunch will bring home anything that they don’t eat, so that you know what they have eaten. Allergies Water bottles go in with the children at lunchtime.

Healthy Schools NO NUTS PLEASE AS WE HAVE CHILDREN WITH SERIOUS NUT ALLERGIES IN SCHOOL. As we are part of the Healthy Schools Initiative, if your child does decide to have packed lunches, please help us to maintain our award by only providing your child with healthy options in their lunchbox. NO CHOCOLATE OR SWEETS. IF YOUR CHILD WISHES TO CHANGE LUNCH ARRANGEMENTS, THEN YOU NEED TO NOTIFY THE OFFICE

Home Time The children are released at 3.10 each afternoon! Your child will be sent out of their classroom onto the infant playground only when the teacher can see that you are there. The teacher therefore needs to know in the morning if somebody else will be picking up your child.

Curriculum The children will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. A large emphasis is still placed on personal, social and emotional development, refining speaking and listening skills, and developing positive attitudes to learning, such as concentration and perseverance. There are parent consultation evenings in the Autumn and Spring terms and you will receive a report with the Early Years Profile judgements, towards the end of the Summer term.

Reading / Homework Every day your child should be doing something at home. This may be reading or phonic sheets and usually something maths based at the weekend. (Matific) Reading books will usually be changed twice a week. Homework is not compulsory, but it does make a difference to the child’s development if you can support their learning at home.
