3 Behaviour Whole school belief children should be praised and encouraged Children take responsibility for their own behaviour Whole School Golden Rules, Class Dojos Any unusual changes in behaviour or persistent unacceptable behaviour is recorded – speak to parents. “Open door” policy, please come and see me if you have any worries, concerns or problems by making an appointment. Zero tolerance: any bullying or fighting.

7 Uniform Please ensure that your child’s name is in all items of clothing, including shoes! 8 P. E kit must be kept in school, so that it is available every day
P.E kit must be kept in school, so that it is available every day. It can be taken home half termly to be washed. P.E is currently on a Tuesday. Please bring additional clothing for afterschool clubs. This can be transported to and from school on the day of the after school club. Due to lack of space in the cloakrooms, please avoid large bags.

9 Attendance & Punctuality
We take attendance and punctuality at school seriously as these are key requirements of all schools. We know that children who attend school regularly and arrive on time achieve more, settle better and thrive in school. We want all children to make the best of their place at this school so can you please support us in this. Can we please remind everyone that if your child is late for school, an adult needs to come to the School Office to sign them in

13 Homework/expectations
A piece of either Maths or English home will be given out each week alongside spelling homework. Homework is to be returned each Friday the following week. Homework not returned will be completed it in a homework support group on a Friday lunchtime. Topic homework will be given once every half term.

14 Reading Books Reading books will be changed every week. Please could you make sure that you listen to your child read and write in their reading record at least 3 times each week.

15 Medical/Important Matters
Any sickness, diarrhoea, must be followed by 48 hrs absence. Any absence requires a note or telephone call explaining why. Attendance is very important and new government legislation is now not authorising ANY holidays during term times. Head lice are common! Please check regularly and treat as recommended. Only named, prescribed, medication can be administered by staff. Children with asthma will be helped to take their inhaler. An inhaler must be kept in school and please ensure they are in date.
