2. BIG start at 8.45am School begins at 8.50am Interval 10.30am Lunchtime 12.15pm School ends 3.15pm (Monday to Thursday) School ends 12.25pm (Friday only)

3. First week in P1: 1 st day of school (staggered start) - Tuesday 23 rd August 2016: 9:00am – 12 o’clock - Wednesday 24 th August 2016: 9.00am – 12 o’clock or - Thursday 25 th August 2016: 9.00am – 12o’clock - Children to enter via main entrance door with parents on the first day Friday of first week: 8.50am – 12 o’clock First full day – Monday 29 th August 2016 Meet the Teacher evening – Wednesday 14 th September 2016 at 6pm

5. Teachers release children into infant playground Allow time Clubs/child minder/friend/relative

6. Packed lunches School dinners 3 trays: red, blue or green iPay Impact You will receive a copy of the menu in August

7. Please provide your child with a small snack – please bear in mind that some children might be allergic to nuts Fun time Support Staff on duty Activities to play with in the playground Peer Mediators on duty (P7 children)

8. Ordered at the end of each term – you will get lots of notice from the school office on when this has to be paid by Order form in P1 Pack Orders cannot be taken after this date – West Lothian Council Policy Milk kept in fridges in the medical room Children get milk before or after break time

9. Wellies and a change of footwear On wet days pupils will be supervised in their class at interval and lunchtime if the weather is unsuitable for outdoor play e.g. risk assessed to be too icy or wet

12. Please label all items! All school jumpers/ t-shirts/trousers/ skirts etc. look the same!

13. Children enter the school via the early years door from 8.45am onwards Children independently hang their coats up on their pegs which are clearly labelled Children go into their classrooms Bags unpacked, ready for BIG start ‘Good morning’ and lunch order with class teacher Snacks and pencil cases are kept in individual trays Class teacher will provide a space for water bottles to be kept

14. Pencil case – writing pencils, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, and coloured pencils (please make sure these are sharpened regularly!) Your child can bring a water bottle to school – please note that this is for water only (no juice) Please make sure that the library /reading books, jotters and homework diaries are returned to school Please check your child’s bag daily for letters and work that will be sent home when completed.
