THE TARGET GROUPS Target groups ISCO Teachers/trainers in adult education: Ecology Environmental engineering Civil engineering ISCO 2320: Vocational Education Teachers Vocational education teachers teach or instruct vocational or occupational subjects in adult and further education institutions and to senior students in secondary schools and colleges. They prepare students for employment in specific occupations or occupational areas for which university or higher education is not normally required. Career officers, counselors, inspectors; head teachers / principals: Environmental ethics Public health Legislation ISCO 2423: Personnel & Careers Professionals Personnel and careers professionals provide professional business services related to personnel policies such as employee recruitment or development, occupational analysis and vocational guidance.  ISCO 2424: Training and Staff Development Professionals Training and staff development professionals plan, develop, implement and evaluate training and development programmes to ensure management and staff acquire the skills and develop the competencies required by organizations to meet organizational objectives.  ISCO 1345 Education Managers Education managers plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate the educational and administrative aspects of education services, primary and secondary schools, colleges and faculties and departments in universities and other educational institutions.  ISCO 2351 Education Methods Specialists Education methods specialists conduct research and develop or advise on teaching methods, courses and aids. They review and examine teachers’ work, the functioning of educational institutions and the results achieved and recommend changes and improvements.  ECO-Center 2014-1-BG01-KA204-001645

THE TARGET GROUPS Target groups ISCO Education manager and other management staff in adult training institutions; non-teaching administrative staff: Public relations Economics   ISCO 1345 Education Managers Education managers plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate the educational and administrative aspects of education services, primary and secondary schools, colleges and faculties and departments in universities and other educational institutions.  ISCO 2421: Management and Organization Analysts Management and organization analysts assist organizations to achieve greater efficiency and solve organizational problems. They study organizational structures, methods, systems and procedures. THE MODULAR TRAINING FRAMEWORK: BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT LOs’ KNOWLEDGE PART   Summary LO7:  The challenge and main approaches to environmental ethics Environmental ethics central areas: (a) the ethics of resources, (b) animal ethics, and (c) ethics of nature; Emphasis on the structuring of environmental ethics in three levels of environmental reasoning: (a) the philosophical level, (b) the legal level, and (c) the casuistic level pf practical environmental management; Information helping the learner to understand the principles and main arguments of the most important theories in the field of environmental ethics: (a) the anthropocentric view (all moral values belong exclusively to the interests of human beings), and (b) the non-anthropocentric or physiocentric view (pathocentrism, biocentrism, ecocentrism and holism); The central questions of environmental ethics; above all, if a non-human being can possess a moral value as a value in itself (intrinsic values); and how large the spectrum of moral living beings is. THE MODULAR TRAINING FRAMEWORK: BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT LOs’ KNOWLEDGE PART   Summary LO8: Environmental ethics and sustainability Information offering the learner knowledge about what sustainability is within the context of environmental ethics: especially the meaning and development of sustainability; The national sustainability strategies related to the priority areas for action in the case of Germany (as an example); European strategy for sustainable development of society and environment (Eurostar Report 2013); Special emphasis on the model of a sustainable and ecological economy (“green economy”), which affects all areas of public and private life of modern societies; The different ecological, economical and socio-political aspects of “weak” or “strong” sustainability; the need for actions in the areas of consumption and production in the viewpoint of European sustainable development strategy.
