53 of respondents Agreed that the Masters in Elementary Education program helped them: 100%  Better understand the major historical and philosophical foundations in education.  Locate and apply current, relevant theories to make appropriate educational decisions.  Develop curriculum to meet the needs of elementary students.  Understand the development and learning characteristics of elementary students.  Feel competent using effective instructional strategies with elementary students.

55 My program, as a whole, was unified and coherent. The quality of instruction in my program was consistently high.

56 I feel that I will be a good teacher as a result of my training in this program. The education courses and assignments helped to prepare me well for my teaching career.

57 I feel that the courses taught in my major area have given me the content knowledge I need. AND… About 50% of respondents would recommend this program to others.

58 Specific Program Evaluations Educational Leadership

59  Understand the role of the principal in building support for education through effective school-community interaction.  Acquire a basic knowledge of the general principles of educational law as it applies to school administrators.  Understand the role of the principal in providing instructional leadership to teachers, pupils, and other members of the school family. 100% of respondents (9 of 9) AGREED that the Educational Leadership program helped them:

61 My program helped me understand the role and function that finance plays in the design and accountability of an effective school program. And… 100% of respondents said that they would recommend this program to others.

63 100% of respondents AGREED that the Counseling program helped them:  To use personal counseling theory and techniques appropriately for my past clientele.  Feel competent in conducting practical research and evaluation.  Better describe and communicate my professional role to clients, colleagues, and the community.

64  Feel competent planning and implementing programs, workshops, or groups that address client concerns.  Feel competent identifying a specialty knowledge area beyond initial preparation as a counselor. 6 out of 7 Respondents AGREED that the Counseling program helped them: AND… 100% of respondents would recommend this program to others.
