Per the UGA Traffic Safety Research and Evaluation group: Intersection of Lumpkin St & Tate Center Parking Lot Entrance: 14 crashes from 2003-2012 11 (79%) crashes resulted from motorist turning right into bicyclist on parallel path (in bike lane) 2 crashes resulted from motorist turning left in front of bicyclist (in bike lane) 1 crash resulted from motorist “dooring” bicyclist while letting passenger out of vehicle 11 crashes since February 2010 The following slides will help you confidently navigate the north and south downhill approaches to the Tate Center
