General University Requirement All students are required to satisfy: US & GA History HIST 2111 – US History I HIST 2112 – US History II US & GA Constitution POLS 1101 – American Government If completed outside of GA or at a TCSG institution before Fall 2011 ONLY the US portion has been satisfied To fulfill the GA requirement, the student will need to pass the appropriate exam: GA History Exam GA Constitution Exam
US/GA History & Constitution General Requirement Historically, during Summer 1993, BOR audit determined that the USG system was rewarding transfer credit for US History- HIST 2111or 2112( HIS 251 or 252) and American Government-POLS 1101(PSC 101) courses and satisfying the Georgia requirements from out of state institutions. This audit revealed that Georgia History nor Georgia Constitution were satisfied. All institutions within the USG had to implement an outline to informed transfer students entering the USG system from out of state institutions about this change.

Orientation/Transfer Role in Orientation Collaboration with Orientation on dates that orientations are scheduled for transfer students; specifically during Fall, Spring, and Summer. Admissions acceptance and request sent to Registrar’s Office for transfer evaluation. Students register with Orientation for on campus orientation session (online orientation registration implemented Summer 2016) Transfer team run reports in order that transfer evaluations will be processed for scheduled orientation session. Transfer team participates at orientation check-in and orientation welcome session.

Questions & Approvals Who to Contact Transfer equivalent course re-evaluation. Contact: Transfer Team The transfer equivalent is correct but I want to seek approval to apply the course in a different area within the degree program. Contact: Graduation Team (graduation@westga.edu) and Wanda Eidson (weidson@westga.edu) A student took a course at a USG institution to satisfy an area of the core curriculum but the course is not reflected in the same area in Wolf Watch.
