All the state universities and many of the private universities in NC accept the community college classes as the general education requirements. Students should check with colleges outside of NC. How do the CCP courses compare to AP? The college transfer courses carry honors credit (5 points) where AP courses (6 points). The CTE courses carry standard credit. With AP courses, students must score a 3 or higher on the AP exam to receive college credit. However, students who make a C or higher on the community college Core 44 (college transfer) courses, they will receive honors HS credit and college credit.
