Physical What does it mean to be physically “fit?” a set of characteristics that relates to the ability to perform physical activity. Overall fitness is made up of five main components: (jot these down in the bottom of the GO) 1. Cardiovascular endurance 2. Muscular Strength 3. Muscular endurance 4. Body composition 5. Flexibility The physical component of health also deals with your appearance, hygiene. Reminding word: _________

Mental The psychological condition of the mind How a person thinks and acts when faced with life's situations. how people evaluate their challenges and problems and explore choices. This includes handling stress, relating to other people and making decisions. Reminding word: ___________

Emotional Emotional health is how a person expresses his or her feelings. How are you doing? Are you a little down in the dumps and not telling anyone what's going on? Are you able to express how or what you are feeling? Reminding word: _________

Social Social Health deals directly with how a person interacts with others. Are you able to communicate your thoughts and feelings clearly? The ability to listen to others and express yourself in a positive way. Reminding word: r__________

Spiritual Spirituality is the way you find meaning, hope, comfort and inner peace in your life. Many people find spirituality through religion. Some find it through music, art or a connection with nature. Others find it in their values and principles. Identify the things in your life that give you a sense of inner peace, comfort, strength, love and connection. EXAMPLES: Community service or volunteer work, praying, meditating, singing, reading, walking, “quiet time”, yoga, sports or attending religious services. Reminding word: “soul”
