Classroom Procedure REQUIRED MATERIALS Helpful Tips Mrs.Kerr 2016-2017

Classroom Procedure Enter the classroom BEFORE the tardy bell rings. Turn in any homework that may have been assigned. I will NOT accept it after class begins & you will not be reminded every day! Place your cell phones in your slot. Get out notebooks or netbooks. Follow the instructions on the Promethean Board. Do not get out of your seat during instructional time for ANY reason.

ATTITUDES & BEHAVIOR ~Come to class every day with a positive and willing attitude! An open mind is a great thing.  Complaining will not be tolerated.    ~Always put forth your best effort!  Grades are achieved; not received, so be sure to do your best at all times. ~Remember, you are in high school now.  You need to act and behave like young adults.  ~Bad days happen!  If you are having one of those days, I do understand.  Please just inform me before class that you are having a bad day, and I will try to leave you alone during class discussions.  This is not to be abused. ~Class participation is a must.  Don't be afraid to voice your opinion.  We want to hear what you have to say. ~Have fun!  If you walk into my room with the attitude that you "have" to be here and it won't be any fun, then you are probably right.  However, if you approach every subject with a willing attitude, it might just be fun!  Go wild!  Learn something new!

REMEMBER . . . In addition to my classroom rules and procedure, ALL rules in your school handbook will be enforced in this classroom. PLEASE READ the rules so you will be aware of what is acceptable and what is not. Particularly read the pages concerning absences and making up work/tests. I will follow this procedure with regards to all absences!
