Advertisements Advertisements are a form of marketing communication used to promote or sell something, usually a business's product or service.  Print Advertisement: If an advertisement is printed on paper, be it newspapers, magazines, newsletters, booklets, flyers, direct mail, or anything else that would be considered a portable printed paper is considered print advertising. Commercial Advertisement: radio ads, Internet ads, and television ads that follow a script or story board.
