User profile changes Your desktop, documents, and favorites are located on a new server and will follow you wherever you login. The pictures, videos, and music will now be stored on the "C" drive on your teacher machine. No need to take your machine when you move around.

Technology policies Purchasing The district goal is to standardize all of the technology throughout the district. This means that any and all technology purchases must first be approved by the Technology Department. Technology that has NOT been approved will not be supported by any Technology Team Members. Help Desk All Tech Help request should be made thru the IT Spiceworks ticketing system online. Those who enter tickets in the system will receive the QUICKEST response. If the system is unavailable, please make the request by calling the Help Desk ext. 1050 Everyone should describe their issue as accurately as possible. Everyone should include their campus, room number, and teacher name in the ticket. Teacher Technology Teachers will be supplied with technology for their classrooms each year. Teachers will have access to shared printers for their classroom use. Teachers and Staff will not move technology or take technology to another room or remove technology from a classroom. Teachers should send a "tech help" request to have any technology moved and allow the Tech Team to move the technology. This includes phones, computers, Ipads, projectors, Interactive Boards, wires/cables, laptops, printers, document cameras, and any other technology device. Teachers shall not allow students to login to their teacher designated devices. Students should only use devices designated for student use. Teachers are advised to save all personal documents and files onto a Flash Drive, at the end of each school year.

Policies continued Projectors Teachers are encouraged to be frugal with their projector usage. This means that when ‘not in use’, the projector should be turned off or AV Mute to preserve the life of the projector bulb. Phones Phones that are in the classroom and are not to be moved or relocated at any time. Each phone has a DND feature (Do Not Disturb) which can be activated during testing, etc. Please do NOT unplug or dismantle the phones at any time unless a Tech Team member is present.

Relocation/Moving Technology policies Relocation/Moving Technology Any relocation of technology will take place during the summer months while school is not in session. Any teacher that would like to have technology relocated within their classroom shall make a written plan of what they would like done, and have it approved by their campus Principal. This written plan will then be presented to the Technology Director. If the plan is deemed feasible, then the changes will be implemented during the summer before the teachers return. Once the school year begins, there will NOT be any further changes in technology locations for the duration of the school year. However, if ‘new’ technology is being implemented and offers a chance to relocate technology during installation, the classroom teacher and principal will be consulted to determine if any changes would be beneficial, and those changes would be implemented during the installation of the ‘new’ technology. Other relocation exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis.
