7 Useful Apps - freeappalert.com Jason Hand Cell: 505-803-4944 Email: jason.hand@cnmec.org DropBox Share and Sync files, pictures, Documents Desktop Connect RDP and VNC solution, connect via PC name instead of IP Address, also scans and lists connected machines for easy access Net-Portal Connect to shared folders on network, can be used through VPN connection as well Print Bureau Lists connected printers to print to as long as you are on the same network through Wi-Fi connection, can be used with “open in” menu also TeamViewer Easy to use to access another connection instead of RDP connection, desktop client is free, has to be installed on pc you are connecting to, good for accessing remote laptops off our network. Keeper Good for storing logins and passwords, need a password to open the App also. Genius Scan Take a pic of a document, then save as a pdf file and email or upload to Dropbox SpringPad Good for synchronizing Notes for text, audio and pictures on Iphone/Ipad and PC. Tacts Good for bulk emailing or bulk texting to multiple people at once, can create multiple category lists of people from your contacts on Iphone, if creating List of more than 10, you need to disable Group messaging in Iphone settings. SugarSync Kind of like Drop Box, but you can choose which folders on your pc that you want to sync and not have to choose just one folder to be your “sync folder” like drop box, also you can setup multiple pc’s separately to sync from, pretty neat, same app for both ipad/Iphone QuickOffice Can View/Edit/Save back to same location for all cloud services: Drop Box, SugarSync, Google Docs, Mobile Me. Ipad only, but user interface is very user friendly and easy to use, lots of features. Firefox Home Lets you sync your Firefox bookmarks and open tabs to this app to access on the go.
