Your Library card Your College ID card is your library card. You can borrow immediately. You can use the Library for reference with the letter offering you a place on the course. Print off a temporary card once enrolled via MyBirkbeck

Borrowing rights UGs 10 books PGs 15 books 3-week/ 1-week/ 1-day/ reference only Overdue books are subject to a fine of 25 pence per day for 3-week loan, 50 pence for 1-week loan and £5 per day for 1-day loans! You will be prompted via your BBK to renew books as long as no one else has requested them

Library catalogue Available from the Library web site. Lists not just print books but electronic books, print journals, DVDs and CDs. Reserve books which are on loan. Enables you to look up your library account. Renew your library books. Please note: it does not list our electronic journals.

Please check the Library catalogue carefully! To find a book quickly type in the author’s surname and two words from the title of the book. Different editions will be listed separately. If we have a book in electronic as well as print format it there will be listed twice.
