What Is MI School Data?  MI School Data is the State of Michigan's official public portal for education data to help citizens, educators and policy makers make informed decisions that can lead to improved success for our students. MI School Data  The site offers multiple levels and views for statewide, intermediate school district, district, school, and college level information.  Data are presented in graphs, charts, trend lines and downloadable spreadsheets to support meaningful evaluation and decision making. 6

Information Sharing and Outreach ReportFunctionalityAudience Our Schools- At A Glance The Our Schools - At A Glance report displays operational and academic dashboards for all the school districts within a selected region, like a legislative district. School Board Administration Community Staff Parents Education Dashboard The Michigan Education Dashboard page provides at-a-glance access to a variety of different metrics that can be used to see how a school, district, ISD, or even the whole State is performing. Accountability Scorecard The Accountability Scorecard report shows federally required school and district accountability ratings under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB). Annual Education Report The Annual Education Report (AER) provides the public with detailed information on teacher quality, student assessment and accountability for schools, districts, and the state in one convenient place. Financial Transparency Dashboard The District Financial Transparency Dashboard page provides “at-a-glance” access to a variety of different metrics that can be used to see how a district is performing financially. 22

In Review  MI School Data is easy to navigate and provides data by location, year, grade, and demographic information.  There are a multitude of reports on MI School Data that provide statewide, ISD, district, and school level data for informed decision making.  MI School Data provides many meaningful and useful dashboard reports that give a snapshot view of data at the district and school level to share with community members, school boards, administration, and educational staff. 23
