Introduction to MiSchoolData Portal Special Education Inquiry MI School Data Portal Welcome to the MISchoolData Portal. This introduction to the portal provides an overview of the contents, navigation, and reporting options in the portal. 9 ISD Special Education Centers VS. Special Education in School Districts
Participants may come from two different settings… Center based programs will want MI-Access information but may not care about MEAP data. Special Ed teachers in districts will want to see all levels of special ed testing- MEAP (with accommodations), MEAP Access, and MI-Access.

“Select Primary Residency Statuses” Demo Non-Resident in multiple views Using the inquiry “Select Prmiary Residence Statuses” is the most basic search

19 Student Testing Review the assessment options across the top bar menu for all students or subgroups Mention the “more detailed” analysis available in the D4SS Inquiries / Special Education Inquiries

Explain that there are different types and performance levels for the MI-Access test: Test Types: Participation, Supported Independence, Functional Independence Performance levels: Surpassed, Attained, Emerging Towards

Information found on the protected side *must have a login to view. Proficiency Inquiry available for MEAP, MME, & MI-Access. 3a- Adequate Yearly Progress Demo site needs to be updated with AYP info. I will change slide when that info becomes available

Locate assessment results for Special Education/subgroups MEAP, MME, and MI-Access assessments by standard, near proficiency (aka “bubble kids”), or cohort Demonstrate how to move to the Special Education inquiries Allow participants to be guided through a sample Proficiency Inquiry. Next, show the Comparative Item Analysis (if time allows, right down to the questions/standards that need work) If time allows -- Students Near Proficiency: “bubble report”

These Special Education inquiries are similar to the D4SS inquiries - and show only the performance on these assessments by students who are reported as special education
