ASSESSMENT, EVALUATION, PROMOTION POLICY

Continuous and Comprehensive evaluation refers to a system of school based assessment that covers all aspects of student’s development. It emphasizes two fold objectives. Continuity in evaluation and assessment of broad based learning. Behavioral out come.

 Each class will have two board semesters.  Question Paper and marking schemes are provided by board.  No medical leave will be entertained.  Result dispatched to board as soon as ready.  No change can be done at later stages.  Students must take examinations seriously.

TERM 1: FA1+FA2+SA1=50% TERM 2: FA3+FA4+SA2=50% TOTAL = 50%+50% =100%

 Attaches importance to school activities.  Participates in school activities enthusiastically.  Shoulders Responsibility.  Insist parents to witness school programs.  Take care of school property.  Sensitive about environment.  Participate in community activity.

 Life skills and Scholastic are important.  If a student scores between 40 to 52 points in life skills he/she will be upgraded in one subject in scholastic area.  If a student scores between 53 to 65 points in Life Skills, he/she will be upgraded in two subjects in scholastic area.

 All assessment of the student shall be done in marks  Marks of each subject converted into grade and given grade point.

 MARKS GRADE GRADE POINT  91—100 A1 10  81—90 A2 9  71—80 B1 8  61—70 B2 7  51—60 C1 6  41—50 C2 5  33—40 D 4  21—32 E  20 & below E2 ----

 Each grade point can be multiplied by 9.5 to get the actual scoring of the student.  All the grade points summed up for 5 elective subjects form CGPA.  It means cumulative grade point average  CGPA multiplied by 9.5 gives the percentage of marks scored by student.
