2 What is ‘Continuous’ and ‘Comprehensive’ Evaluation?
Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) refers to a system of school based evaluation of students that covers all aspects of students development.

3 Regularity Of Assessment Frequency Of Unit Testing
“Continuous” emphasizes that it is a continuous process rather than en event, built into total teaching learning process and spread over entire span of academic session. It means: Regularity Of Assessment Frequency Of Unit Testing Diagnosis Of Learning gaps Use Of Corrective Measures Retesting and Feedback of Evidence to teachers and Students (for their self-evaluation)

4 Understanding / Comprehension Applying Analyzing Evaluating Creating
“comprehensive” means that the scheme attempts to cover both the scholastic and the co-Scholastic aspects of students’ growth and development It aims at assessing a learner’s development in areas of learning like: Knowledge Understanding / Comprehension Applying Analyzing Evaluating Creating

5 The Objectives of the scheme are
To lay emphasis on thought process and de-emphasize memorization To make evaluation an integral part of teaching-learning process To determine social utility, desirability or effectiveness of a programme and take appropriate decisions about the learner, the process of learning and the learning environment. To make the process of teaching and learning a learner-centered activity.

6 Formative assessment is the diagnostic and remedial as it informs the teacher where the problem actually is and it helps the students identify the problem areas Summative assessment is an end term examination which is a pen pencil test. This exam will contain MCQ’s and subjective questions that is very short answers, short answers & long answers

7 Scholastic Assessment
The major emphasis of CCE is on the continuous growth of students in both Scholastic Assessment and Co-Scholastic Assessment: Formative Assessment Projects Conversation Skills Assignments Quizzes Oral Questions Research Work (group) Scholastic Assessment Summative Assessment Long Answer MCQ’s Short Answer Flexible Timing Written-End of term
