Library opens from 7:30-8:00 and 4:10-4:30 daily. Library Orientation Welcome to Marcia R. Garza Elementary Library! Mrs. Marquez Librarian Library opens from 7:30-8:00 and 4:10-4:30 daily.

Library Rules Enter and exit QUIETLY while walking. Follow directions the first time they are given. Talk softly to avoid bothering others. Respect materials and equipment. Use the library to read, study, browse and learn. Return materials on time.

What do you expect the library to be like? As a group list what you expect at the library. How should it look? How should it sound?

Library Procedures Entering the library Use front door. Walk in quietly. Remain in the line. Place returns on top of circulation desk Sit down at tables in the order you came in line.

Checking out with your class After the lesson… The quietest table will go check out first. Please wait quietly while waiting your turn. Use a shelf marker when looking for a book.

Keep it neat Everything in the library has a special place. Please don’t put books back in the wrong place. If you don’t know where it goes, put it on the return cart.

When you are ready to check out… Come to the circulation desk. Make sure to wait your turn. Place your shelf marker in the basket. Turn your book over to the back cover to make check out go quicker. State your name. When you are done checking out go find a quiet place to read or test. *Remember: Do not go to the side of the Checkout Desk to ask a question. Get in line and wait your turn or ask someone else.

AR Testing You may AR test after the library lesson. Use the computers on the main floor FIRST. Only use the study nook, if the computers on the main floor are being used. ONE person per computer.
