2 Acknowledgement: Student Code of Conduct This Student Code of Conduct is a document designed to provide rules, expectations, and consequences for student behavior. We ask that you review the Student Code of Conduct with your child (ren) and have a discussion regarding school expectations. In addition, Appendix IV is a copy of the Appoquinimink School District’s Educational Technology – Acceptable Use Policy. In order for your child to use educational technology, this policy must be reviewed and the parents must sign below. Please sign below and have your child sign to acknowledge that you have received a copy of the Student Code of Conduct. Prevention is the best way If all else fails… Be a responsible witness/bystander  Know that keeping our school safe is NOT snitching Report what you see/know to a school adult  Diffuse the situation by NOT promoting it Cheering on a fight or bullying is as bad as doing it yourself  Ask questions and seek guidance from a trusted adult Any staff member or responsible family member counts!

22 Fun Fridays Once a month Student who get NO MORE than 3 think sheets Students who don’t get ANY referrals during a month will get to attend School dances, assemblies, bingo and other activities

23 Cafeteria Procedures Enter quietly Be seated at your assigned table Lunch Packers may begin eating Lunch Buyers will be told when to line up by lunch aides (Ms. Burns, Ms. Brabham, Ms. Insley)

24 Lunch Buyers Line up at appropriate line when instructed You may talk softly with those beside you in the line Be “Ready” with your choices and money Be”Respectful” and say please and thank you to the cafeteria workers Return quietly to your original seat at your table.

25 Table Manners Use soft inside voices when talking with your neighbors. Remain seated Raise your hand if you forgot your plasticware or napkin

26 Clean-up Time Be quiet for instructions Make sure all of your trash is placed in the trash can when it comes around. Your area on the table and floor beneath must be clean. Wait quietly to be “Ready” for your teacher and the remainder of your school day.
