1 A fun and exciting incentive program that allows SJH students to earn redeemable Eagle Dollars for exceptional behavior inside and outside of the classrooms.

2 Eagle Earnings Goals Create well-rounded students that demonstrate good moral character and responsibility. Promote positive behavior such as pride, honesty, respect, self-discipline, self-esteem, service, and scholarship. Reduce negative behavior such as tardies, unpreparedness, late work, excessive absences, bullying, and disrespect. Make SJH a fun, educational environment with high expectations for success.

3 Earning the Eagle Dollars $10 – no tardies per six weeks $10 – bring up grade by at least 1 letter grade per subject per six weeks $10 – perfect attendance per six weeks $15 – A/B honor roll per six weeks $25 – A honor roll per six weeks $250 – Eagle Excellence Award winner per six weeks

4 Additional Earning Opportunities At teachers’ discretions, additional dollars may be awarded in the classroom for activities such as: All students have assignments/projects completed on a specific day. A random check reveals all students have all needed materials for the day. A good report was left by the substitute teacher.

5 Earnings Continued! All faculty and staff have Eagle Dollars to give to students who are caught being good and doing the right thing. This includes all teachers, Mr. Diem, Ms. Driggers, Mrs. Britt, Mr. Trela, Mrs. Renick, Mrs. Sullivan, Mrs. Alsup, and the custodial and maintenance staff.

6 Spend your Eagle Dollars at The Store. Items may include: School supplies such as mechanical pencils, pens, erasers, folders, book marks, colored-paper, etc.… Novelty items Gift cards to Sonic, Bush’s, the Donut Shop, iTunes, etc. Teacher incentives, such as an early release for lunch Snacks; Gatorades Morning Announcer for a week Movie and popcorn Lunch off-campus “Principal for a Day” Or…Deposit and save your earnings in your account at The Store or with your Study Hall teacher on designated days The Store will open every 2 weeks!

7 “GO FOR THE GAME” At the end of the year, students accumulating at least $500 may attend a Round Rock Express baseball game. The following activities will allow students to earn enough Eagle Dollars to save and use towards this event: No unexcused absences No zeros or late work No tardies No detentions No suspensions A or A/B Honor Roll each six weeks

8 End of Semester Activity 7 th grade vs. 8 th grade At the end of each semester the grade earning the most overall Eagle Dollars will participate in a special activity for everyone to have lots of fun!

9 Have a great year at Salado Jr. High!

10 Teachers’ Responsibilities You may create your own criteria for distributing Eagle Dollars in your classroom. Actively monitor hallways and classrooms for good behavior that deserves a reward. Promote the program! Be positive about the rewards and routinely discuss SJH expectations with students. Focus on students who need extra attention and use the incentives to try to improve their behavior and classroom performance.
