2 HHS Renaissance Mission The mission of the Hancock High Renaissance is to encourage, reinforce, and celebrate each individuals personal best in the areas of academics, school attendance, and Hawk PRIDE- perseverance, respect, integrity, discipline, and excellence through the encouragement and partnership of staffulty, parents, and community.

3 Renaissance Target Areas Improve overall academic performance Increase attendance rates Increase proper conduct/behavior Improve the positive school atmosphere Increase promotion and graduation rates Increase post-secondary training / post- secondary education enrollment rates Increase parent/community involvement

4 HHS Renaissance: 3 Rs Hancock High Renaissance provides: Reinforcement To strengthen a positive and enthusiastic school atmosphere accentuating the importance and significance of doing well in school Recognition To publicly acknowledge, show appreciation of, and give credit for individual efforts in achieving ones personal best as demonstrated in academics and character Rewards To provide motivational incentive and encouragement for sustaining and continuing efforts

6 Student Recognition / Reward Programs Academic Card Member Program Card Advantages At the end of each 9 week period, card eligibility will be determined. Students earning a card or cards will receive incentives on an intermittent schedule throughout the 9 weeks.

11 The Hawks N.E.S.T The principal will make random visits to classrooms and reward students with candy treats and/or other goodies from the hawks N.E.S.T. if the following applies: N- No absences (all students present) E- Excellent Entry (students are prepared /ready to work) S- Submitted Assignments (all students) T- Tardiness-(None)

12 WERE FLIPPING OVER OUR TEACHERS AND ACT 31+ STUDENTS Principals prepare a pancake breakfast to pamper dedicated Staffulty and students with ACT composite scores of 31 or higher.
