What’s a noun? A noun is used to name a person, place thing or abstract idea. Mr. Williams, Milwaukee, honesty and teddy bear
13
What’s an adjective? Something that describes a noun. Exp.: smart girl, pretty skyline, disappointing test scores, large meals
14
Why do we have noun- adjective agreement? Because in Spanish adjectives match the gender and number of the nouns they describe.

Here’s how: SINGULAR El chicO altO-the tall boy La chicA altA-the tall girl PLURAL Los chicOS altOS- the tall boys Las chicAS altAS- the tall girls

In addition: Many adjectives that end in a consonant match both genders. Exp: El amigo jóven o la amiga jóven Some adjectives that end in a consonant add an –a to form the feminine singular. These need to be memorized. Exp: el chico trabajador/la chica trabajadora
17
Making adjectives plural: To make an adjective plural add- s if it ends in a vowel; add- es if it ends in a consonant. Exp: las chicas trabajadoras Los chicos trabajadores p. 66-Libro
