6. BIO He composed: motets, madrigals, chansons, and lieder; Masses, Magnificats, and Lamentations. Just some interesting information about Lasso. By the age of 12, Lasso known for his amazing singing voice had already been kidnapped three times. Also, by the age of 12, Lasso had moved to Sicily where he started working in the musical establishment of the viceroy. He stayed in Italy for approximately ten years and moved to Munich, Germany in 1556. In Munich, Lasso found employment and friendship under Albert V, the duke of Bavaria; he found love and married Regina Wackinger; and lived the rest of his life.

7. Sacred music Parody Masses Misse Breves--"brief masses" meant for short services. The most well known of this kind of work was his Jager Mass (The Hunters Mass) Four setting of the Passion: St. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. His most famous Psalm setting is the seven Penitential Psalms of David. The last movement of this psalm setting De profundis is considered to be one of the "high-water marks of Renaissance polyphony." Motets-- the 12 Prophetiae Sibyllarum (Prophecies of the Sibyl)
