3 Chanel Chanel is a French fashion house founded by Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel, specializing in luxury goods She gained the name "Coco" when she was a singer at a café in France. Today, Chanel is one of the best known and most highly sought-after fashion brands, one of the most powerful fashion empires in the world.

This example features several overt references to Chanel's innovative designs of previous decades.
