2 Rule Number 1 RESPECT & PARTICIPATE 50 Respect Points each quarter. Sleeping, chatting, cell phones, doing other work, not participating are all RESPECT violations; 10 points taken away for each violation. Points can be earned back; 3 good day ≈ 1 bad day.

3 BRING MATERIALS TO CLASS Pen or Pencil & Paper Calculator Textbook Chemistry Binder Assigned Work Rule Number 2 No Backpacks. Keep Pop/Water, Food/Candy out of sight. No Food/Drink in Lab Area. Be In Your Seat When Bell Rings or Be Tardy.

4 2 days to make up each day gone; late work is half credit or zero. Check schedule or absent book for assignments when gone. Knowing what you missed while you are gone is YOUR responsibility. COMPLETE ASSIGNMENTS on TIME Rule Number 3

5 PUT FORTH an HONEST EFFORT DO YOUR BEST! Rule Number 4 Cheating/Copying Policy Copying/cheating will result in NO points for the assignment, quiz or test. Wandering eyes = copying; don’t do it! No sharing of calculators, notes (books), or periodic tables for test/quizzes.

6 Discipline Policy During Class: 1.Verbal Warning. 2.Verbal Warning + Record Incident, Contact Parents. 3.Office + Removal From Class Until Incident is Resolved. More Immediate Consequences During Labs.

8 Homework Name Assignment Date Clean Edge, Not ‘Confetti’ Write answers in complete sentences – this means that the question is embedded into the answer; no pronouns (they, it, he, she, etc). Box-in your final numerical answers; don’t forget units! If I can’t read it, it’s wrong! Show your work for partial credit options.
