2. Purpose The Office of Enabling Technologies is responsible for the applied research and development of innovative IT solutions that support the research and education missions of the School. OET leverages leading-edge information and communications technologies to deliver strategic benefit and competitive advantage via new or enhanced programs and services by balancing producer-push and consumer-pull.

23. Benchmarked Data and Performance IT is organized very differently across peer institutions, making direct benchmarking extremely difficult. There are not direct peers to benchmark against for the applied research and development mission of the Office of Enabling Technologies, but our peer institutions perceive our capability to be a strategic advantage.
