9 Mrs. Olsen’s Math: Students are working with solving addition and subtraction word problems. Students worked at identifying what an equation is and making equation chains. Students are practicing learning number partners and adding doubles. Reading: Students have practiced identifying the subject and predicate of sentences. Students are also working with using correct punctuation at the end of sentences. Students practiced writing a paragraph showing a sequence of events. Dress Code: With October beginning, students are no longer allowed to wear shorts as part of the dress code. Reconciliation: Students are beginning their First Reconciliation lessons. Please go over the lesson with your child when they take it home. Our class is loving listening to the Boxcar Children books. After lunch recess each day, we begin our afternoon by listening to one chapter. We are on the 2nd story, Mystery Island. Oct. 6 and 11- Elementary Conferences Oct. 15- Family Feud at Fine Arts Center Oct. 21- Brewfest
