1. A Peek At The Week
-In reading we are continuing to switch to our leveled reading groups. Students should be bringing home daily reading homework. Look for the yellow RMSE page!
-During math we will continue practice with our math addition facts to 10. Students will find two equations that equal the same number. We will also discuss even and odd numbers. On Friday they will take a mid-unit test.
-This week during writing we will continue to write a topic sentence and add details. Students will work hard to create a 4 Star story about what they will be when they grow up! Stories will include neat handwriting, finger spaces, capitals, periods, and a neat illustration.
-During our Core Knowledge time we will continue our unit on Animals and Habitats. This week students will learn about the Deciduous Forest and Rain Forest habitats. Students will also work to create a group habitat poster on their favorite habitat so far!
Homework Ideas
-Please take time to read with your child every night for minutes.
-Continue work on the number bond sprints that come home each day. If kiddos have bonds circled they can fix it and bring it back the next day!

-Spirit Wear orders are due by Wednesday, September 21st.
-Keep working on fundraising so we can get new technology! 
-Parent-teacher conferences are continuing on Thursday, September 22nd 4-8pm
- Picture Day is October 6th.
-Field Day is scheduled for Friday, October 7th.
- Fall festival October 21st 5:30-8:30pm
Extra News
-Fall is coming! The mornings are starting to get chilly so remember to send your kiddo to school with a light jacket to help stay warm during morning recess before school starts!

-Please get in the routine of taking papers out of the folders every night and returning the folder everyday. It helps SO much with getting papers neatly back and forth!
