What is Feminism? Feminism is collection of beliefs, largely motivated by or concerning the experiences of women, especially in terms of their social, political, and economic inequalities.

Feminism Emphasizes unique qualities of women Integrates issues of culture and class (different cultures treat women differently) Begs the question: Is it a man’s world?

Feminism Emphasis on equality of women & men Aims to change current legal structures to promote access for women Criticized (by other feminists) for trying to be like men
