Presentation transcript:

Welding is a fabrication process that joins materials, usually metals, by causing coalescence. Some of the best known welding methods include: shielded metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, gas metal arc welding, flux-cored arc welding, submerged arc welding, and electroslag welding.

Many different energy sources can be used for welding, such as a gas flame, an electric arc, a laser, an electron beam, friction, and ultrasound. Welding may be preformed in many different places such as in open air, under water, and in outer space.

Electrical engineering is a engineering that generally deals with the study of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. This field became an identifiable occupation in the later half of the 19 th century after commercialization of the telegraph, the telephone, and the electric power distribution and use.

Electrical engineering has now subdivided into a wide range of subfields including electronics, digital computers, power engineering, telecommunications, control systems, radio-frequency engineering, signal processing, instrumentation, and microelectronics. The subject of electronic engineering is often treated as its own subfield but it intersects with all the other subfields, including the power electronics of power engineering.

The system of pipes, drains, fittings, valves, and fixtures installed for the distribution of good water for drinking, heating and washing, and waste removal. Plumbing also refers to the skilled trade which installs and maintains it. The plumbing industry is a basic and needed part of every developed economy.

Most plumbing supply pipe is made out of steel, copper, plastic, and cast iron. The straight sections of plumbing systems are called pipes or tubes. A pipe is usually made through casting or welding, whereas a tube is made through extrusion. Pipe has thicker walls and may be threaded or welded, while tubing is thinner-walled and requires special joining techniques.

The building of structures from small individual units laid in and bound together by mortar Some common materials you ca find in this practice are brick, stone, marble, granite, travertine, limestone, cast stone, concrete blocks, glass blocks, stucco, tile and cob. Masonry is a highly durable form of construction, given that the mortar quality and workmanship is good.

There are different types of masonry such as veneer masonry, dry set masonry, and brickwork. Veneer masonry: consists of usually clay-based bricks, installed on the sides of a structurally independent wall. When doing this type of masonry it is normally only for decoration, and not structure. Dry set masonry: in this practice the friction belong the interlocking masonry blocks provides a lot of strength on its own so it relies less on the strength of the mortar.

Brickwork: solid brickwork is made of two of more sections of brick with the units running horizontally, joined to bricks running side to side along the wall.

 Drywall (also known as plasterboard, wallboard, gypsum) is a panel made of gypsum plaster pressed between two thick sheets of paper. It is used to make interior walls and ceilings. Drywall construction became prevalent as a speedier alternative to traditional plaster.
