The Global Innovation Department is seeking an Innovation Application Engineer who will be responsible for the technical & operational aspects of introducing a new technology for commercial fleet market. Position duties & responsibilities: *Pre sales application engineering & sales support Support sales team in targeting the right fleets by analyzing fleet operating conditions Visit prospective customers & design installation process in accordance to specific site conditions *Post sales application engineering Work with procurement to identify right partners for installation Work with technology partners & external contractors to coordinate installation of devices/sensors Plan, coordinate, support and verify the installation of the product within customer facilities *Fleet benefit realization : Design customer specific maintenance processes to create value from the technology Baseline product performance and iterate maintenance process for customer to realize the full benefits Monitor product performance and value created for customer Work with data science experts to design / improve the algorithms that help create value for fleet customers. Document lessons-learned and design process blue-print for operations and service delivery *Communication Communicate learnings to regional business & global innovation stakeholders Be the connection between sales, regional business teams, corporate innovation teams etc. To join our team you will need: Education: The candidate must hold a Master's degree in Engineering in electro-technics, electronics, construction, … Additional degree and training in business-related fields (strategy, innovation, product management, etc) is a plus Languages: The candidate must be fluent in English and French are required. Knowledge in German or Dutch is considered as a plus. This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe (25%) Experience: The candidate must have 5+ years of experience in leading engineering projects in industrial context as well as 2 years in product management. Several successful projects in automotive, assembly, infrastructure, transport, logistics and advanced industries Skills & Qualifications: Broad knowledge in technology: large hardware/ sensor/ cloud solutions Working set of project management skills. Basic skill sets are defined as: Planning, Organizing, Directing, and Controlling company resources Excellent communication skills towards customers and multiple stakeholders Working knowledge of current office products (MS Office, Notes, and Web browser).
