Purpose Why did you choose this project? What is the purpose of this project? What do you want to learn?

Hypothesis and Research Find information about your subject. Research books and web sites. Interview specialists who are in the field of your topic. Describe all research in detail. ›Research is a vital part of the project. –You must find out enough information on your topic in order to make an educated guess about the outcome of your experiment.

Hypothesis and Research Make a Hypothesis- (Predict the outcome of the experiment based on your research.)

Materials Make a bulleted or numbered list of all the materials you used during your experiment. Example: 1. Paper 2. Ruler 3. Seeds

EXPERIMENT Create an experiment that will either prove or disprove your hypothesis. Create a step by step numbered list of your experiment. –Someone who reads your list should be able to exactly duplicate the experiment from your directions.

DATA and ANALYSIS Show the data that you collected during your experiment. –Use charts, graphs, webs, pictures, etc. Analyze your data. –Describe what your data shows.

CONCLUSION Was your hypothesis correct or incorrect? Explain. Why do you think that the outcome occurred? Did you enjoy the experiment? What would you change if you did this experiment again?

SOURCES Bibliography- List all books, magazines, Internet sites, interviews, etc.
