Variables Independent Variable (Manipulated): (The variable you purposely changed) Dependent Variable (Measured): (The variable that is being observed, which changes in response to the independent variable)

Control Group Control: (This is the original experiment that you will compare the rest of your testing to)

Constants Constants: (The parts of the experiment that are not changed. You need up to 5 constants in your experiment.)

Materials The materials should be listed out, very specific, and aligned with the procedures. They need to be in bullet form and they need to be the metric system!

Procedures Procedures should be listed step-by-step. You should be able to visualize the experiment as you read the procedures. These should be very detailed and specific. They need to be numbered and use the metric system as well.

Graph and Data Table You should have a clearly labeled graph and data table for this section. (Cut and paste your chart and graph here from Excel or any other graphing program that you may have used)

Data Analysis This should be where you talk about what you found in your data that was collected. This section does not explain WHY the data came out the way that it did, instead, it just mentions trends, outliers, averages etc

Conclusion This conclusion should be in paragraph form and at least 5-7 sentences long. It should restate the if, then, because statement and discuss whether the hypothesis was supported or not, the data, and what the students learned from doing the experiment.
