Duration: 8 weeks (during Summer Session)  Between May 16 th and August 26 th Work week: not less than 5 working days Working Hours: as per the host company (not less that 6 hours/day) Supervision:  AUB: OSB Faculty Mentor  Company: Work Supervisor Grading: based on evaluations of direct work supervisor and OSB mentor The internship grade is included in the overall average 2 GUIDELINES

REQUIREMENTS Should be a Business major Junior standing Have completed by the end of Fall at least:  38 credits (if admitted as sophomores)  68 credits (if admitted as freshmen) Completed (by the end of Spring or taken it in the summer after working hours):  FINA 210  INFO 200  MNGT 215  MKTG 210 3

Online registration is mandatory (independent from AUBsis) Between February 3 rd – February15 th OSB will send an to all eligible students to register online To register online: 1) Log to OSB website: 2) >> Academic Programs >> Undergraduate Program >> The Internship >> 3) Select OSB Students - Intern 4) Choose a username and a password and register Completing the online application is mandatory, if you do not register you will not be able to officially register for your internship 6 ONLINE REGISTRATION

Deadline for securing an internship: April 29 th, DEADLINE

Acceptance Letter (on company letter head) including the following:  Student Name  The beginning and the end dates of the internship period (Any 8 weeks between May 16 th and August 26 th )  The department joined and the name/title of the direct work supervisor if available  The , phone, fax, and address of the company and the direct supervisor 8 DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED

All internships are considered approved unless notified otherwise 9 ACCEPTANCE

Beginning of May, students will have an academic mentor Students should check with their respective mentors for further instructions before the start of the internship 10 ASSIGNING MENTORS

May 17 th – June 2 nd BUSS 245 is a One-Credit course 11 PAYMENT OF FEES

What if I do not have an internship by April 29 th ?  You might have to postpone your internship until the summer of 2017 What if the company does not confirm acceptance by April 29 th ?  Stress the deadline to the host company (University requirement - April 29 th ) Can I work for a family business?  We look at case by case basis Can I do my internship in two different companies?  Yes, Minimum of 4weeks/company & one acceptance letter/company How many courses I am allowed to take with the internship?  one (3-credit) course, in addition to 0-credit workshops after working hours 12 COMMON QUESTIONS
