We have a rigorous school day and it is very important that your child gets a good night of sleep and eats breakfast before coming to school each day. Coming to Class: We have a rigorous school day and it is very important that your child gets a good night of sleep and eats breakfast before coming to school each day. Please send your child in the appropriate coats and footwear. No flip flops, children will be running around at recess and in P.E. class.

Type overview of classroom procedures here... Make sure your child knows how they are getting home each day. If something changes you need to call the office, as teachers will not regularly have access to s and phone throughout the day.

Type overview of classroom procedures here... Breakfast and recess begin at 7:45, parents may drop students off in designated areas at side of building. Bell rings at 8:10, students will meet at designated spot on black top to line up with their class. Students are expected to be in their classroom at 8:20 to begin their day.

Students need to bring a back pack every day! Home work goes home on Friday and needs to Be returned to school by the following Thursday. Please help your child pack their backpack And remind them to bring it. Forgetting back packs is very age appropriate. They need your help. Homework: Every first grader will read the books in their book bag every single night! If your child is not reading ever night, they will have difficulty reaching proficiency. Students may have other homework as communicated by their teacher.

Students will not have lunch until 12:55 and will need a snack in order to stay engaged and focused all morning. All families will be responsible for sending snacks on their given week. Parents will sign up on calendar for their weeks with classroom teacher. Families will send enough snacks for the week for 20 kids. Snacks must be store bought. While we prefer other snacks, snacks may also be purchased at Dollar Tree or other discount stores (animal crackers, Goldfish, fruit snacks, etc.) Please do not send snacks with nuts and make sure to send spoons if needed. We appreciate your support in feeding your children daily, it is essential in their learning and growth as humans.

Birthdays: Please make sure to contact your child’s teacher in advance if you wish to bring a birthday treat. Anything brought in must be store bought, healthy treats are appreciated.
