School Year



 Students must wear school uniforms  School shirt  Kaki bottom or navy blue bottom  Jeans are not allowed  Be on time  Attendance is taken at 8:35 a.m.  Dismissal 3:05  Write a note to the teacher if your child will be going home differently

 Students will get rewarded in a monthly basis.  Students with three infractions or more will not be able to participate.  Students infraction can be as follow: poor behavior, not completing classwork, or not doing their home learning.  Students with too many infractions will not participate on 5 th grade field trips. Field trips are earned!

 Your child was assigned a reading assignment. They need to choose 2 of the following books: Freak the Mighty, Rules, or Yo Naomi.  They are to complete 2 activities from the reading assignment found in the pamphlet.  Your child will have to take an A.R. test on the two books they read, this will count as a reading grade.  Reading assignment is due October 15 th.

 30 minutes of Reading  Homework could be vocabulary, grammar, a reading comprehension passage, a writing assignment, complete reading a chapter and answer question, or simply completing I- Ready at home.  30 Minutes of Math  Math worksheet  Reflex Math and completing I-Ready at home.  30 Minutes of reading -complete this section in the reading log.

 Open student’s portal  Put their ID, and then in their password input their birthday and initials  Example, if your child’s name is Mary Gonzalez and she was born on October 15, Her password would be mg  10 for October  15 for the 15 th day  05 the last two digits of the year they were born  Initials mg

 Sent a note to school with your student  us at : or  Please do not call the school. The school has a very high volume of calls every morning and it is difficulty for them to transform your call to the teachers.

 Teachers,  Please inform you Open House parents that the Media Center will: 1. Open its annual book fair on September 28th through October 2nd from 8:45 am - 2:30 pm.  (Family Night on Tuesday September 29th from 6:00-8:00 pm) 2. Starting on October 5th, the Media Center will be open on Monday through Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm
