Rules and Consequences Children Pull Clips when not following the rules RED- Outstanding Behavior Clip moves up student receives a small reward Orange-Great Job Clip is moved up and student is in a drawing for small reward Yellow- Good Day Clip is moved up and student is in a drawing for a small reward Green-Doing a Good Job this is where all students start their day Blue-Warning Purple-Teacher’s choice 5 minute time-out loss of recess or privileges Pink- Parent Contact-Note home to parent that needs to be signed, loss of all privileges

4. Homework Sent home on Mondays in a Green folder Reading Log/ Fluency, reading fluency practice, High frequency words, spelling words Daily homework to be finished and turned in the next day is spelling practice, and math. Friday return, Thursday’s spelling pre-test, folder and book log completed. That’s It! Show Sample

5. Modified Wednesdays Pick up is at 12:35 every Wednesday Parents must pick up their child at the gate. If eating at school parents must walk them to front gate and wait outside gate while students eat.

6. Parent Information Uniforms White, Light blue, gray and Red Collared shirts only. Navy bottoms. Label everything! Volunteers Wanted Please come in best time 8-9:45! 7. These are folders that contain all of their tests and important parent information They will be going home every Tuesday it is very import ant that all tests and papers are removed and folders are signed and returned. Show Sample Tuesday Folders

8. First Grade Curriculum Reading fluently 60 words per minute. Knowing all 260 high frequency words. Writing 5 sentences about 1 subject including opening and closing sentences. Math counting and sequencing numbers to 120 adding and subtracting facts to 20

9. Grades All of my grades are done using Aeries an electronic grading system. The system is new this year so I am still in the process of updating. If a student is absent the assignment does not count against them but they are able to make it up if it was included in the grades Missing assignments, do to not turning them in result in a 0. Papers without names result in a zero as well. Assignments receiving a failing grade can be fixed at home and receive a passing grade if turned in on Thursday of the same week.
