Week 1- Organizing and Planning By weeks end, you should Organize your binders Get missed notes/hand outs Contact teachers for exam review sheets Create a study plan Prioritize Where and when to study Identifying and avoiding obstacles

How to Organize your binders?? Take everything out Throw away/recycle your “junk” If unsure, ask your teacher whether to throw it away or not Use dividers to separate your notes into units and then into chapters. Your can buy dividers or just use a sheet of paper with a piece of tape/paper sticking out. Put homework and assignments at the end of each chapter with a separate divider. These serve as good study/practice.

Getting Missed Notes!!! 1. Check online websites and powerpoints. 2. Check with a RELIABLE AND RESPONSIBLE classmate or friend. 3. Check with your teacher.

Prioritizing Activity ActivityPriority # Part time job2 School1 Sport? Student council House hold chores List your daily/weekly activities, then rank them from most important (1) to least

Planning for Week 2 and 3 To organize your weekly planner you should Get a clear understanding of what is expected of you for your exam(s). Determine your fixed commitments. Estimate how much time you will need. Use a daily to do list. Plan breaks - reward yourself. Realize that every minute is important.
