Copyright and Fair Use Copyright- legal device that provides the creator the chance to decide how his or work can be used. Example: poem, book, music, etc. Fair Use- the right for others to use copyrighted material legally.
Fair Use Guidelines Photographs- you can use one no more than five by the same author. Music- use only 10% of a song or musical work Poem- less than 250 words Articles, stories, or essays less than 2,500 words Books- 2 pages from a picture book with less than 2, 500 words.
