3 Netiquette (Internet Etiquette Tips) Use Common Sense Use common sense when posting on social network. Never post confidential school information on any public website. Watch Your Language Remember to keep it professional. Maintaining morals and values are vital in your profession. Be Courtesy Treat others with respect, in order to earn respect. Be considerate when expressing yourself to others. Use correct grammar.

4 Copyright and Fair Use Copyright (Fair Use Guidelines) Use precaution when downloading materials for educational purposes. Credit should be given to any copyright materials. Handouts must have the correct citation of copyright. Photo or drawings should have the word “copyright” on its image.

5 Copyright and Fair Use Fair Use Guidelines (Fair Use Guidelines)  Students may use parts of lawfully acquired copyright material in educational multimedia projects.  Copyright material can be used in academic and other professional work setting.  Illustrations may be used. However, no more than five images by an artist or photographer can be copied.  In general, creativity in valuable to the author. Always use integrity when using someone’s work.

8 Safety on Your Computer Protecting Your Computer and Identity (Roblyer, 2010).  Always keep virus protections software up to date.  Never open email from an unreliable source.  Use caution when downloading files from email attachments.  Use effective firewalls to stop hackers from entering your computer system.
