5 Online Safety This means there is security of your information while on the internet.

6 Identity theft Reputation management This is where someone steals you identity online. They obtain personal information such as credit cards and other benefits DO NOT PUT PERSONAL INFORMATION ONLINE!!! This is where they monitor the reputation of a person or business They give positive feedback of that business rather than giving you the negative. Issues with online safety

7 Passwords Is a secret word or characters used to access an account. This should be kept a secret. The password should be something easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess. Cyberbullying The use of technology to harm other people. This is intended to harm another person by using text message or instant messaging for example by saying harsh words.

8 Issues with online safety Cyberstalking The use of technology to harass an individual. This could include threats, identity theft, or harassment.

9 Safety on your computer Ways to keep your computer safe is to install a anitvirus software on your computer. Use a firewall. Secure your browser by disabling javascript.

10 Safety on your computer Viruses This runs against your wish and it can cash your computer to crash. These are mostly man made. They can also make a copy of themselves. Phishing This is when it is attement to acquire a username or password by an electronic commutation.

11 Safety on your computer Worms This is when a malware copies itself in order to spread to another computer. Trojan horses This grants a hacker unauthorized access of the computer.

12 Netiquette Defined as sharing information, data, and how it is shared It is Human. It is centered around data.

13 Do and don’t for netiquette Think before you act. Find out rules. Use correct address Don’t use bad language.

14 Copyright and Fair Use Copyright protects original work from authors. Authors have legal rights how to distribute or display their work. Fair use gives you exceptions on what you might can do with the work. It applies case-by-case.

15 Fair use rules for media It is fair for a student to be part of someone else's picture or photo in a project.It changes when it is posted to web. If it is a video is it 3 mins of work and you must cite your sources.
