What is a Normal Course Load?  Four years = eight semesters  Typically take four, 4-credit courses each semester 16 credits during most terms 16 credits during most terms 17 credits during two terms 17 credits during two terms  Course credits Most classes are four credits Most classes are four credits Some language classes are five Some language classes are five Phys Ed classes are usually one Phys Ed classes are usually one Community Service = zero Community Service = zero  130 credits needed for graduation

How Much Will I Need to Study to Be Academically Successful?  For every hour in class, at least two hours outside of class  Being a student is a full-time job and your primary purpose here

KEYS TO SUCCESS: Students with GPA of 3.7 or higher Study over 30 hours/week out of class Preview material prior to class Review notes after class Stay 1-2 chapters ahead in text Visit professor/instructor/tutor Study in small groups (3-5) several times per week Ask questions, ask questions, ask questions!!!
