 A modern day convention begins with the title, it must be big bold and represents the company. With my particular product the title is a specific colour and design to allow my media product to be stereotyped with that style of font and colour. This will give a gimmick to the brand allowing for it to be recognised by the audience. Most magazines ensure that the main performer featured on the front page is the centre of attention and is appealing to the eye. Bright colours with a picture that fills 70% of the page. The font and size In which the name of the main performer is different to the main title, this attracts the consumer to the products main selling point. The more the reader looks the more likely they are to buy the product.

 Normally in a music magazine the main focus is on the latest gossip and new music in the article, but in this product I have made an emphasis on new fashion and classic records to challenge current conventions in the industry. If the target audience expect a certain type of article they will consistently buy the same product but consumers are unsure on their choice of topic, they will search for the product which doesn’t focus on the same one each time.

 Many media products have similar conventions many being developed into the designers own idea. This new product also develops current conventions. For example the double page spread shows order for the questions by splitting questions by colour. This allows the reader to distinguish between a question and an answer. This convention was developed so that the question which the reader wants to read is easily found and they do not have to wade through each and every question to find it.
