Course Description Areas of Study: Earth, Physical, Life, and Space Global Systems, Cycles, and Populations Discover how science is an integral part of society. Objective: Learn Scientific approach to problem solving and discovery.

Honors Earth System If you want Honors Earth System credit, come and talk to me, and I will give you the packet you will work on throughout the year. The student will agree to do about 25 extra hours for the school year.

Attendance and Discipline Same as District and School Policy as outlined in the student handbook.

My Classroom Rules 3 Rules you will need to know: 1.Be ready to work when the bell rings. 2. Respect, All Around. 3. No Whining allowed.

Student Requirements

Science Notebook Worth 25 pts. at the end of each term. Needs to include quizzes, labs, and notes taken in class.

Oral News Article Every Friday, at the beginning of class, time will be given for students to give their news article. Worth 15 pts. Must be science related. Must be from a reliable source. Turn in article for credit.

Term Projects Worth 100 pts. Due Dates will be given at beginning of term and are always due around the end of the term. They are due only on the days set aside, no earlier and no later. They are always given orally in front of the class.
