4 Classroom Rules 1. Be On Time

5 “Be On Time” Means… Be in your seat and ready for class when the bell rings. Anyone late to class will lose a preparation point for that day. If you are late because you were detained by a staff member, get a late pass from that person.

9 Grades Based on total points. Everything you do will have an assigned point value. At the end of the grading period, your grade will be determined by how many points you earned and how many points you could have earned. Bonus points!

10 Grading Scale A- 90 to 100 B- 80 to 89 C- 70 to 79 D- 60 to 69 F- 59 and below

11 Preparation Points 1.You will receive three points at the beginning of each week for having all of your necessary materials in class. 2. You will lose a point each day you do not have all of your materials for class. 3. If you have everything you need each day, at the end of the grading period you will receive a perfect score on the equivalent of a quiz grade.

12 Homework Usually once or twice a week. Due in class on due date. You may turn it in a day late without penalty by using a Pushback pass If left in locker, you may get it, but you lose a preparation point for that day If you do not have your homework, you will be required to sit in the hall or to come to my tutorial where you will do the assignment for no credit.

15 Make-Up Work Try to get it before you come back to class. You have the same number of days to make up work as the number of days you were out of school.

16 Tests and Quizzes Announced 3 to 5 days prior to the scheduled day --Verbally --On board --On Homework Hotline and Homework Hotlink Anyone who misses a test or quiz is expected to take it on the day they return to class unless previous arrangements have been made Be here on Test Day!!!!!

17 Tutorial Periods Like a study hall Work quietly or read You may go to get help from any teacher in whose class you need it.

18 Use of the Hall Pass In extreme emergencies only! Take care of your needs before class You must use your assignment book to sign out
