Acne Physical Health and Hygiene – Body Care

Acne Acne is a natural occurrence It starts when the pores become blocked with dead skin cells and dirt, which slows down the flow of sebum to the skin’s surface Bacteria can then develop in the clogged pore causing a pimple

Acne

So, How Do You Deal with Acne? 1.Clean – use gentle soap or cleanser twice daily (this can be medicated or non-medicated) 2.Prevent – use a salicylic acid product all over your face to help prevent pores from becoming clogged 3.Treat – to help eliminate pimples quickly use a benzoyl peroxide product to unclog pores

Assignment: Look at the products you use on your face: ▫Do they contain salicylic acid? ▫Do you have any products with benzoyl peroxide? ▫Are your hair/beauty products non-comedogenic? ▫Take a picture of each product and send them to my or print them out and put them in your notebook

Homework Bring your toothbrush to our next class (in a ziploc bag) Bring your toothpaste as well (if possible) – that or bring a picture of the toothpaste that you use.
